I got exactly what I wanted at the Lukacs Thermal Bath

What I liked about the Lukacs Thermal Bath the most is the lack of tourists, as it's mainly local people who visit. All I wanted was to get away from touristy places for a day and relax in thermal waters. I got exactly what I wanted, and it felt great to just soak and chill. My sore feet were not sore anymore, and my back pain was gone, so it seems that the thermal water really does have some healing properties. As far as I'm concerned, Lukacs Thermal Bath justified the price.

The highlight of our Budapest visit!

I've been to the Lukacs Thermal Bath with my husband, and it was so romantic. We went during the winter, so there weren't a lot of people. At one point, it began snowing. It was magical to experience it while being immersed in warm thermal waters. We also went to try the saunas and various steam rooms, but then we returned to the outer pool. The sensation of snowflakes falling while soaking in thermal water is not something we get the chance to experience in our own country. Lukacs Baths was the highlight of our Budapest visit.

HEALING PROPERTIES OF THE LUKACS BATHS THERMAL WATER

The thermal waters of the Lukacs Baths have gained a reputation for their effectiveness in the treatment of joint inflammation, and respiratory and spinal problems. A unique feature of the spa is the collection of marble gratitude plaques on its walls, a tradition where visitors share their positive healing stories and thank the waters for their restorative power. Due to the abundance of nutrients and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sulfate, fluoride, chloride, and sulfur, this thermal water is used to treat many ailments. The temperature range of the Lukacs Baths thermal waters is from 21°C to 40°C (70°F to 120°F), which helps in relaxing the body while it receives these minerals. Also, feel free to take advantage of the underwater jet streams that are located throughout the pools for a refreshing hydro massage! Whether you decide to sit and soak, float, or swim, you will enjoy your time at the Lukacs Thermal Baths.

LUKACS THERMAL BATHS – THE TRADITION THAT SPANS CENTURIES

Lukacs Thermal Baths are one of the oldest thermal water spas in Budapest, but did you know that they date back to at least the 12th century? Almost a millennium ago, the Knights Hospitallers built a hospital nearby where they used to treat many ailments. Later, when the Ottomans occupied large parts of Hungary, the baths remained in use, and there is evidence that the energy of the thermal springs was used to power a mill! However, the baths as we know them today were established in the late 19th century and named in honor of Saint Luke. Lukacs Thermal Baths quickly became the most popular spa in Budapest. Known for the medicinal properties of its thermal waters, it is still popular among the locals.
